PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland police responded to a report of a man threatening another man at the MAX platform on Southeast Foster Road and I-205.

It happened just after 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

As officers were on their way to the scene, they say they got word there may have been shots fired and a man hit.

Officers arrived and said the victim told them that he was not shot but cut himself during a struggle with the suspect, who was no longer at the scene.

They say the victim told them he was sitting on a MAX train when the suspect asked to use his headphones.

The victim told police he refused and that's when the suspect fired several shots in his direction.

Police say the two struggled on the ground before the suspect fled on a bike.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his mid 20s, wearing a white T-shirt and shorts, a black backwards baseball hat and riding a black BMX bike on Southeast 92nd Avenue.
