HAZEL DELL, WA (KPTV) -

Vandals smashed two windows and a glass door at the Clark County Republican Headquarters in Hazel Dell.

It happened sometime before 3 a.m. Friday morning at the party's leased office space on northeast Hazel Dell Ave.

A Clark County deputy discovered shattered glass and rocks inside the building. One of the rocks knocked over an American flag.

No suspects were seen in the area, and no one has been arrested.

The Clark County Republican Party released a statement on its website, clarkcountygop.org, claiming that Republican signs have been destroyed or vandalized in "record numbers" this election season.

"While this is very disturbing and we are sadden by the lack of control by some," the statement reads, "we will not be silenced or intimidated by such tactics. We will continue to respect the rights of others, even those we disagree with on political issues, and we will continue to spread the Republican message of limited government closest to the people, individual and private property rights and liberty."

Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to call the Clark County Sheriff's Office.
