SALEM, OR (KPTV) -
Corban University called off a search for a missing student Sunday morning.
"As of 11:30 a.m., Luke Atkinson has been found safe in Lebanon, OR, by family members. He was never in danger and not aware of the search for him, for which we are grateful," university spokesman Steve Hunt said in a statement.
The university asked the public for help locating Atkinson, 21, after he disappeared from his dorm room Thursday evening and had not made contact with family or friends.
Salem police did not actively search for Atkinson off-campus since there were no signs of foul play.
