The Portland Timbers are getting ready to hold Stand Together Week Oct. 8 through 14.
They've organized more than 40 volunteer events with various local nonprofit organizations for those seven days.
Timbers players, coaches and staff members will work alongside volunteers from the community.
Participants will get an official Stand Together scarf and an Adidas drawstring bag.
There's a $30 registration fee per volunteer.
That money will serve as donations to Hands On Greater Portland to help cover the cost of organizing the week of service.
