VERNONIA, OR (KPTV) -

A woman accused of running away from a crash that caused serious injuries is facing a long list of charges.

Oregon State Police said Julie Johnson, 26, of Vernonia, lost control of her 1990 Honda Accord on Highway 47 about seven miles south of Vernonia just after 4:30 Monday.

The car rolled and hit a pole two miles from L.L. "Stub" Stewart State Park.

Sara Leloff, 32, of Vernonia, was taken by Life Flight to Oregon Health and Science University and was listed in serious condition Tuesday.

Police said the driver ran away from the scene.

Johnson was found about two hours later when witnesses called to report a suspicious person hiding in the area.

She is charged with DUII, hit and run, reckless driving, recklessly endangering another person, assault and criminal mischief.

Johnson was not hurt in the crash.

Neither woman was wearing a seatbelt, according to Oregon State Police.

Highway 47 was closed for two hours during the crash investigation.
