PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
An overturned trailer blocked lanes of Interstate 5 southbound at Terwilliger Boulevard in southwest Portland for more than an hour Wednesday.
The crash caused a big backup, and Portland police recommended avoiding the freeway during the morning commute. Many commuters took Barbur Boulevard out of downtown Portland to get around the wreck.
There were no injuries reported in the wreck, which closed multiple lanes and, for a brief time, completely closed I-5 southbound.
The freeway fully reopened around 8:35 a.m., but a big backup remained.
