Power outage closes PCC Rock Creek Campus

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The Portland Community College Rock Creek Campus is closed Wednesday.

A power outage in the area is affecting the school's fire and safety infrastructure, so administrators made the call to keep the campus closed for the remainder of the day.

Portland General Electric reported approximately 5,000 customers without power in the Bethany area before 9 a.m. Wednesday.

By noon there were still four outages in Washington County affecting 23 customers, according to the PGE website.

The PCC Rock Creek Campus is set to open Thursday as regularly scheduled.
