SALEM, OR (KPTV) -
A new website has been designed to help Oregon homeowners who are facing foreclosure.
OregonHomeownerSupport.gov offers counseling and information about state and federal programs for people struggling to make their mortgage payments.
The site introduces Oregon's new Foreclosure Avoidance mediation program and provides a list of answers to common questions facing people who are close to losing their homes.
There is also a search engine to find a foreclosure prevention counselor in your area.
The site is funded from the attorney general's Multistate Settlement Fund as appropriated by the Oregon State legislature.
