Man crashes into cemetery after short police chase.

SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

Salem police are looking for a man who took off when police tried to pull him over just before 1 a.m. Friday.

The driver led police on a short pursuit before he crashed into a fence and drove through the cemetery at Commercial and Hoyt Street Southeast in Salem.

The man got out and ran when his truck got stuck on a headstone.

Police searched the area but could not find the man.

An estimate of the damage to the cemetery is not known.
