COLUMBIA CITY, OR (KPTV) -
An arrest has been made in connection with a set of human remains found in Columbia City.
Investigators think the body belongs to 91-year-old Frieda Bahl, who was last seen around July 4, 2010 and was confirmed missing in May of 2012.
At this point the remains have yet to be positively identified. A medical examiner will help determine the manner and cause of death.
Officers arrested Frieda Bahl's son, Stephen Bahl, on charges in connection with this case and also with the 2009 death of his father James Bahl.
They said Stephen Bahl helped searchers find the remains off Smith Road in Columbia City.
Stephen Bahl is facing charges of criminally negligent homicide, criminal mistreatment, hindering prosecution and 20 counts of theft.
