A giant panda cub yawned his way through an exam at the San Diego Zoo on Friday. The cub is 8 weeks old and weighs in at 4.9 pounds. The zoo's veterinarian's also measured his legs, chest, and belly.
Zoo officials said the cub's eyes are almost open, and the little guy has started venturing outside with his mother while she eats bamboo.
According to Chinese tradition, panda cubs aren't named until they're 100 days old. The zoo is accepting name suggestions until Monday. You can check in on the cub on the zoo's panda cam.
