PACKWOOD, WA (KPTV) -
A Washington wildfire has burned 90 acres in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
The South Point Fire is burning on the south side of Packwood and west of Forest Road 21 and the Goat Rocks Wilderness.
Firefighters were placed at the fire Sunday to gather weather observations, fire behavior information and to map the fire's perimeter.
A public meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday at the Packwood Fire Hall, 12953 U.S. 12 to discuss details of the fire.
The South Point Lookout Trail No. 123 is currently closed due to the fire.
