HILLSBORO, OR (KPTV) -
Deputies believe alcohol was a factor in a crash involving a car and a school bus.
Investigators were called to a home on Southwest Tongue Lane in a rural area south of Hillsboro just after 4 p.m. Monday. They received a report of a drunk man causing problems and acting erratically.
Deputies learned Kyle Getsinger, 27, got into his Chevrolet Nova and drove away.
A few minutes later, they were informed a car had crashed into a school bus on Tongue Lane.
Deputies arrived and found Getsinger's car crashed into the back of a bus.
He was hurt and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Deputies said two children and the driver were onboard the bus, but they were not hurt.
Deputies said alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash and charges are pending in this case.
