KLAMATH FALLS, OR (KPTV) -
Oregon State police is continuing to investigate a motorcycle crash that resulted in the death of a Klamath Falls man.
It happened Saturday, Sept. 22 at about 11:36 a.m. in Klamath Falls.
Troopers said 52-year-old Richard Wrubel was westbound on South Side Bypass near the Memorial Drive intersection where traffic was stopped for a vehicle waiting to turn. Wrubel lost control while trying to stop, and his motorcycle slid over to the westbound shoulder.
Wrubel was wearing a helmet, according to investigators, but was seriously injured after being ejected from his motorcycle.
Fire fighters transported him to Sky Lakes Medical Center, where he was stabilized before being taken by air ambulance to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend.
Wrubel later died from injuries sustained in the crash, according to OSP.
