ALOHA, OR (KPTV) -

Local high school football fans know all about Thomas Tyner, and soon he'll be able to show his talents on a national stage.

The Aloha High School running back has been selected to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

He was presented with his official bowl jersey at Aloha High School Tuesday afternoon.

He is one of 90 players across the country who will be part of the big game on Jan. 5, 2013 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX.

The game is considered one of the nation's premier high school games and has featured NFL stars like Andrew Luck, Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow and Ndamukon Suh.

Current Oregon Ducks standout De'Anthony Thomas also played in the game. Tyner has verbally committed to play for the University of Oregon next season after graduating high school.

Tyner rushed for a state record 644 yards in a game Sept. 14. He also scored 10 touchdowns that night.
