TIGARD, OR (KPTV) -
Drug investigators from Washington County raided two locations in connection with an illegal medical marijuana growing operation.
The dispensary, Human Collective, was the last standing dispensary in Washington County.
Deputies say there's enough evidence to prove the owners 36-year-old Sarah Bennett and 37-year-old Nicholson were raking in 1.7 million dollars a year in profits.
Search warrants were served at their home at 11059 SW 63rd Ave. and at the dispensary at 11509 SW Pacific Hwy. on Thursday morning.
The people who live at the home own the dispensary, deputies said, and were violating the medical marijuana act and were operating their dispensary as a retail store for cardholders.
Investigators seized 21 small marijuana trees, more than 200 plants that are 2 feet tall and another 20 pounds of finished product inside of the home.
Several guns were also found in the search.
Deputies say 20 more pounds of finished product and $23,000 in cash were found inside of the dispensary. In addition, they confiscated several computers and boxes of records.
Deputies have been working on the case for quite some time.
Deputies say two children were living in the couple's home. A four-year-old and a three-week-old infant.
DHS officers responded, and have since placed them into protective custody.
So far, Bennett and Nicholson have been detained, but not arrested.
