TROUTDALE, OR (KPTV) -
The Multnomah County Sheriff's office said two people were killed Sunday night when the car they were riding in rolled over on Interstate 84 westbound at Exit 18.
Brittany Patty, 18, from Bakersfield, CA, and Luke Dial, 19, also from Bakersfield, were thrown from the car when it rolled off the highway just after 9 p.m. Patty was found dead at the scene by emergency responders.
Dial was taken from the scene via Lifeflight helicopter, but was pronounced dead upon arrival at a hospital.
A third traveler was also thrown from the car at the time of the crash. He is 20 years old and remains in the hospital with serious injuries.
Interstate 84 was briefly shut down in both directions to allow LifeFlight to land and take off.
