EUGENE, OR (KPTV) -

A Eugene man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for sex trafficking a 15-year-old girl.

Adam Zimmer, 35, was sentenced by a U.S. District Judge Monday after pleading guilty on May 15 to the sex trafficking charge, along with employing a minor in a drug operation.

Federal charges arose in November 2011 when a Lane County deputy received information that Zimmer was dealing drugs to children and prostituting young girls.

Last December, two 15-year-old girls told deputies that he offered them cocaine, marijuana and ecstasy pills at his home. He also told them he would pay them each $100 per date for them to work as prostitutes.

Deputies said Zimmer also had an adult woman identified as "Queen" working for him as a prostitute.

On Dec. 5, 2011 an informant sent Zimmer a text asking if he had any young girls available to meet him at a local hotel. Zimmer said he did and after several lengthy recorded conversations with the informant, Zimmer described how he could make several young girls available.

He referred to the girls as "Prosti-Tots," according to the Department of Justice, and said they would do whatever the man wanted.

Eventually, he said a 15-year-old girl identified as "Blondie" was the only one available and told the informant it would cost him $500 for one hour.

He added that the girl was "super loaded" from eating psilocybin mushrooms, according to the Department of Justice release. Zimmer then offered to send a bag of mushrooms and condoms with the girl to the hotel.

When Zimmer arrived with the girl, he was arrested.

As part of his sentence, he faces 10 years of supervised release after his prison time is up.
