Arrest made after Forest Grove gunshots

FOREST GROVE, OR (KPTV) -

A Forest Grove man is facing charges for firing three shots from a handgun, then stashing the gun behind merchandise at a convenience store, police said.

Police arrested 44-year-old Jose Garcia-Martinez after someone reported seeing a man walk towards a 7-Eleven store with a handgun. Three shots were heard prior to the report.

It happened in the 2200 block of Yew Street around 5 p.m. Saturday.

Police found Garcia-Martinez inside the 7-Eleven along with the 25 caliber handgun stashed on store shelf.
