VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -
A teenager who burned down his family's house in Vancouver was sentenced to jail today.
Prosecutors said the boy was 16 when he purposely set a fire at his home on northeast 129th Avenue back in May. Clark County deputies said his family was inside at the time, but got out safely.
Today, a juvenile court judge sentenced the teen to nearly a year in jail with credit for time served, community service and one year of probation.
