Hillsboro police search around Hagg Lake in missing woman case

HILLSBORO, OR (KPTV) -

A tip in the case of a missing Hillsboro woman led police to search around Hagg Lake midday Wednesday.

Maria Bolanos-Rivera, 55, was last seen at her home on Walnut Street in Hillsboro back in late August.

Officers said they follow up on all tips they receive, and the information regarding Bolanos-Rivera and Hagg Lake is just another tip. As of 1:45 p.m., police had not found any evidence related to the case.

At the time of her disappearance, Bolanos-Rivera's family told police she walked away from her home and that it's uncharacteristic of her to leave and not contact anyone.
