Rescued kittens get ready for adoption

Posted: Updated:
ST. HELENS, OR (KPTV) -

This week, five kittens found themselves at the bottom of a storm drain in St. Helens.

Columbia River Fire and Rescue rescued the kittens and took them to Columbia Humane Society.

Shelter staff found a foster home for the 2-week-old kittens to give them the special attention they need before they can be adopted.

Now, the stray kittens need the public's help to pay for their veterinarian care, vaccines, spaying and neutering.  They need kitten formula and kitten food, too.

Then CHS can find them a purr-fect forever home.

To donate to the so-called "storm drain" kittens, go to http://www.columbiahumane.org/donation.php

Or you can take or mail your donation to Columbia Humane Society, 2084 Oregon Street, St. Helens, OR 97051.

If you are interested in adopting a cat or kitten go to the same web page to view some that are available for adoption or you can visit the shelter to see them face-to-face.

At the shelter you can also purchase discounted cat food and toys in the lobby store, which supports shelter operations.
