TriMet bus destroyed by fire in Aloha

ALOHA, OR (KPTV) -

A TriMet bus caught fire and was destroyed in Aloha Thursday.

It happened shortly after 4 p.m. on Southwest Westside Street in Aloha, near 209th Avenue.

Firefighters said the fire happened in a cul-de-sac, so there was a minimal effect on traffic. There were no passengers onboard at the time and the driver made it off safely.

The bus is considered a total loss and the cause remains under investigation.
