PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A night of drinking ended with one man recovering from stab wounds and another behind bars.
Charles Taylor, 43, and Kenneth Herkes, 27, had been drinking beer behind a gas station at Southeast 162 Avenue and Stark Street, according to Portland police.
The pair started to argue, and Herkes then stabbed Taylor in the shoulder with a kitchen knife, said officers.
Gresham police assisted in the search and arrested Herkes just a few blocks from the scene.
He will face second-degree assault charges.
