
Three Portland Timbers players have been recalled by their national teams to play in upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Defender Steve Purdy left Thursday to join El Salvador. Midfielders/defenders Lovel Palmer (Jamaica) and Rodney Wallace (Costa Rica) will leave to join their national teams Monday, Oct 8, following Sunday's match against the Seattle Sounders.
All three players are scheduled to return to the Timbers on Oct 17.
