Gresham police detectives said a stabbing outside a restaurant left a woman in serious condition late Thursday night.
Officers said Sharlene Daniels, 24, and a 17-year-old male acquaintance were together in the area of 193rd Avenue and Burnside before the stabbing.
Investigators aren't sure as to the exact path Daniels and the suspect took at that point, but they believe they left the area together, with Daniels riding a bicycle seen in a photo provided by the police department.
It's not clear what led up to the stabbing, but police said it happened at 18120 Southeast Stark Street, where officers found evidence of the crime and Daniels' bicycle.
Daniels was rushed to a hospital. Police said she's in serious condition but is expected to survive.
At this time, officers don't have an exact description of the attacker because they haven't been able to interview Daniels.
He is described as 17 years old, black and may have had an Afro haircut. He wore a black, hooded jacket at the time of the crime.
Anyone with information about who is responsible is asked to call Detective Tony Cobb at 503-618-2365.
