ST. HELENS, OR (KPTV) -
A barn fire in St. Helens spread to trees and brush and burned at least 20 acres Friday.
Pre-evacuation notices have been issued to people living in the area. The alert is to inform them about the potential for evacuation. No one has been told to leave yet.
The fire was reported at 4 p.m. on Pittsburg Road. Firefighters arrived to find the barn fire fully involved.
There was no indication any animals were inside, but it was filled with hay which allowed the fire to spread quickly.
Fire crews from at least six agencies responded to the scene.
No injuries have been reported.
