RANDLE, WA (KPTV) -
Search and rescue teams are looking for a lost mushroom picker in Lewis County.
The unidentified 79-year-old man from Tacoma became separated from his family yesterday near Strawberry Mountain, 10 miles south of Randle. He was last seen at 10:30 a.m.
The missing man had a backpack with water, but he was not prepared for an overnight stay. Temperatures reached 32 degrees Sunday night in that area.
His family said he's an experienced hiker and is not believed to have any medical condition that would have led to him getting lost.
Crews searched for him until midnight and more than 30 people will be involved in the search Monday.
