Deadly hit-and-run suspect pleads not guilty

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A driver accused of hitting and killing a woman on the Burnside Bridge is pleading not guilty to hit-and-run charges.

Kemisha Anderson is also accused of DUII. She pleaded not guilty in court Tuesday.

Police arrested her six hours after they said she hit and killed Ida "Dawn" Lynd, 44, at 2:30 a.m. Sept. 29.

Officers said Anderson hit Lynd midspan on the bridge. Lynd's family said she battled drug addiction for years and had been sleeping on the bridge.

Anderson is set to go to trial Nov. 28.
