STAYTON, OR (KPTV) -
Linn County deputies arrested a Stayton man Monday for having a sexual relationship with a teenager.
Dennis Holm faces three counts of sex abuse charges, accused of having an illegal relationship with a girl he met coaching a youth basketball team.
Deputies say the now 18-year-old alleged victim reported the abuse. She told deputies she met Holm when he was a volunteer coach at Cascade Youth Basketball Program in Turner, OR. She was 11 years old at the time and has remained close to Holm over the years. Deputies believe the relationship became sexual when the alleged victim turned 16.
At this point deputies do not believe there are other possible victims.
Holm volunteered for a number of sports leagues in Oregon. He is also listed as an approved volunteer with the North Santium School District in Stayton.
As of Tuesday, Holm was out of jail on bail but could not be reached for comment.
He is scheduled to be in court on Oct. 24.
