Applications for the 2013 Rose Princess Court are now available

Now's the time for young ladies interested in being part of the 2013 Rose Festival court to apply.

Applications are now available online at http://www.rosefestival.org/

To be eligible, applicants must be a senior graduating June 2013 or a junior on track to graduate in 2014. Students also need to have at least a 3.0 GPA.

Only 15 girls are selected to be a part of the court. Once selected, each princess is awarded a $3,500 scholarship from Pacific Power.

But once a part of the court, the ladies are expected to keep a packed schedule. Beginning May 1, Court Members travel full-time six days a week for six weeks, visiting community events, business leaders, hospitals, senior living centers, youth organizations and civic groups.

The deadline to apply is Jan. 4, 2013.
