Deputies: Naked woman ran to escape rape

Posted: Updated:

A woman claims three men tried to rape her in Woodland, and she only escaped by running away naked.

Cowlitz County deputies said she told them that she was at home on Friday when a man she knows accused her of stealing from him.

He then told her to go from the main area of the house to a shop in the back where another man lives.

She then was ordered by two men to take off her clothes to "pay them back" as a third man joined them.

There's no word on what she was accused of stealing, but the woman told deputies one man had a black gun and a knife and taped her arms and legs to a chair with duct tape.

She wiggled free, but was ordered to get on a bed with one of the men who groped her.

As one of the men opened the door, she busted out of the room.

With a small  towel, she tried to cover herself as she ran to another home about a quarter mile away.

A witness says she saw the woman running and a man riding a motorcycle looking for her a little later.

The woman who lives at the home called police when she found her dressed in her nightgown.

Deputies said she had a bruise and was missing hair on her left arm and also had a red mark on her other arm. She also had cuts on her legs that could have come from the brambles during her run.

One man has been arrested and another suspect has been named.
