Police arrest teen suspect in Rockwood stabbing

GRESHAM, OR (KPTV) -

Gresham police have identified and arrested a teen suspect accused of stabbing a woman last week in Rockwood.

Police said 17-year-old Patrick Kirby III was with 24-year-old Sharlene Daniels in the Rockwood area on Oct 4. The two allegedly began arguing over a stolen bicycle. Police said Kirby stabbed Daniels before fleeing the area.

Investigators identified Kirby as the suspect late Monday and arrested him at his Fairview home Tuesday morning.

Kirby was taken to Donald E. Long Detention Center and charged with attempted murder.

Daniels is expected to recover from her injuries.
