MEDFORD, OR (KPTV) -
The specialty food company Harry and David is expanding its peanut product recall over salmonella concerns.
That includes peanut butter and other spreads.
The company's voluntary recall includes:
- 12-ounce jars of crunchy almond peanut butter.
- creamy banana peanut butter spread
- creamy caramel peanut spread
- creamy raspberry peanut spread
Harry and David's recall is also for multi-component items that have those items inside:
- apple snack box
- Bee Sweet gift basket
- Hearty Snack gift basket
- All-Day Assortment gift basket.
- Father's Day basket
All items have the "best by" dates of Mar. 1, 2011 to Sept. 24, 2013.
Those dates are on the upper part of the peanut butter jar near the lid.
The company is encouraging anyone who bought those products to return them for full value or dispose of them.
