PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
The Oregon Department of Transportation issued a warning Thursday afternoon to drivers who use Interstate 405 northbound in their evening commute.
The left lane of I-405 north approaching the lower deck of the Fremont Bridge will be closed until 9 p.m. Thursday so crews can perform emergency repairs on a bridge joint that has broken free from the concrete.
Repairing the bridge joint may also require closing the right lane of the Highway 30 on-ramp to I-405 north.
ODOT officials said drivers should try to avoid the area tonight or plan for significant delays during the evening commute.
