PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland police cite a man in a hospital for drunken and reckless driving after two crashes.

Police say at 8:32 p.m. on Oct. 10, they responded to a crash involving two cars on I-205 at Foster Road.

Officers found two drivers suffering injuries and paramedics rushed them to Portland hospitals for treatment.

Police determined that 24-year-old Artemio Diaz-Ibarias was involved in a minor hit-and-run accident on North Glisan above I-205 and then sped away from the area on I-205.

A witness reported the accident.

Police say on the interstate, Diaz-Ibarias rear-ended a pick-up that was stopped on the right shoulder of the freeway at the Foster Road exit.

The driver of the truck, 22-year-old Marcos Romero, suffered minor pain as a result of the crash.

Investigators determined that Diaz-Ibarias blood alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit of .08 percent.

Officers cited him at the hospital.
