HOOD RIVER, OR (KPTV) -
Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers released the identity Wednesday of an 18-year-old girl killed in a crash along Highway 35.
The crash happened Tuesday afternoon about 10 miles south of Hood River.
According to OSP Sgt. Les Kipper, Savanna Holloway of Cascade Locks was driving her SUV and trying to access Highway 35 from a driveway on the east side of the highway at about 3:10 p.m.
Holloway pulled out in front of a northbound flatbed truck loaded with pears, and the truck hit the driver's side of Holloway's SUV, Kipper said.
The flatbed truck's driver, 29-year-old Nocholas Laurance of Mt. Hood/Parkdale, was not injured.
Holloway died at the scene.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, troopers told FOX 12.
