Armed robberies suspect
PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Police are trying to track down a man who robbed a pair of Portland Plaid Pantry stores in the span of a few hours.
The first one happened at 11:45 p.m. Saturday at Northeast 242nd and Glisan Street. Investigators said the suspect fired a shot, but nobody was hurt.
Witnesses said the armed robber took off in a vehicle, possibly a dark-colored full-size SUV.
A few hours later, at 2 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to reports of another armed robbery at the Plaid Pantry at 6630 NE Glisan St.
The victim told police the man entered the store and displayed a handgun. He then took all the cash and threatened to shoot the victim.
Officers checked the neighborhood but did not find anyone matching the suspect's description.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, medium build, goatee, tattoo on the right hand, wearing black pants and a black hoody, armed with a handgun.
Plaid Pantry is offering a reward up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect in this case.
Crimestoppers is offering a $1,000 reward in this case.
