PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
A man who police said objects to Hispanic workers getting construction jobs is accused of driving under the influence to a work site with an AK-47 assault rifle.
Charles Larson, 43, was arrested Wednesday. Police said he threatened construction workers at Northeast 11th and Church in Portland.
Officers were called to the scene and began positioning themselves around his truck when they said the man drove away.
An officer yelled for him to pull over and give up. Police said Larson did just that.
Investigators said he went to the construction site to threaten workers he believed were Hispanic, because police said he doesn't want them to have construction jobs.
Larson was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of DUII, intimidation in the second degree, reckless driving and unlawful use of a weapon.
