Daniel Mahar, 54, is accused of stealing copper, brass, aluminum and other metals from Maxim Integrated Products, 14320 SW Jenkins Rd. Mahar has worked as the facilities supervisor there for seven years.

Detectives said he would sell the items and received more than $86,000 from it in the last three years.

Detectives said they found a large amount of scrap metal at his home on Southwest Barnes Road in the Cedar Hills community Wednesday, along with a sawed-off shotgun and drugs.

Mahar is charged with aggravated theft, possession of a prohibited firearm, unlawful possession of morphine and methamphetamine. He was also charged with distribution of meth within 1,000 feet of a school.
