ODELL, OR (KPTV) -

The Oregon State Police are continuing an investigation into Thursday afternoon's two-car fatal traffic crash along Highway 35 south of Odell. The crash resulted in the death of a Troutdale woman and injuries to three other people.

Police said 70-year-old Catherine Anderson from Troutdale was eastbound on Central Vale Drive approaching Highway 35 just before 1 p.m. Thursday. According to witnesses, her car slowed but didn't stop before crossing two southbound lanes to turn left.

Her car was struck on the driver's side by a southbound car driven by 64-year-old Gary Latulippe from Red Lion, PA.

Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, 53-year-old Sally Ann Sieh from Gresham, was transported by ambulance to Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Both were using safety restraints and the car's airbags deployed.

Latulippe and his passenger, 69-year-old Harold Anstine, from York, Pennsylvania, received minor injuries. Latulippe was transported by ambulance to Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital. Anstine was not transported from the scene. Police believe he was taken by a private party to the hospital.

Oregon State Police troopers from The Dalles Area Command office are continuing to investigate the crash. Trooper Matthew Zistel is the lead investigator.

The Oregon State Police were assisted at the scene by the Hood River County Sheriff's Office, the Wyeast Fire District, Hood River Ambulance, and the Oregon Department of Transportation.

Highway 35 was closed for about three hours during the incident response and preliminary investigation.
