VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

A man accused of a violent home invasion robbery in Vancouver is pleading guilty to charges in a separate case against him.

Investigators said Adam Lewis broke into a home on May 5, 2011 and confronted one of the homeowners when she walked in.

Court documents said Lewis pointed a gun at the woman he had stolen from the home, before ordering her to put on handcuffs behind her back.

The documents said he then ordered her around the house at gunpoint over the next hour asking for money and marijuana.

Investigators said Lewis stole two guns from a safe and two laptop computers and loaded it all into the woman's car, which he then attempted to steal.

At one point, according to court documents, the woman kicked Lewis in the back. He then attacked her, police said, hitting her with a speaker and a shovel.

The woman's husband then came home and Lewis pointed the gun at him, according to Vancouver police. They ended up struggling over the weapon while the woman ran out of the house yelling for someone to call 911.

The man got control of the gun and police said Lewis ran out of the home.

Lewis was arrested two days later after police said he was found trespassing in someone's backyard.

He is set to face trial for charges in the case on Dec. 10.

On Friday, he pleaded guilty to a sidebar case involving breaking into a home and attempting to steal a car on May 2, 2011.

Police said they identified him in that case because he left his wallet and cell phone behind. The wallet had a Washington state ID, along with a Clark College identification card with Lewis' name and photo.

He pleaded guilty to robbery and burglary in that case and will be sentenced Nov. 5.
