Rape reported outside Eugene bar

Police are investigating a report of rape outside a Eugene bar.

Early Friday morning, a 25-year-old woman said she was approached by a man who offered her a cigarette outside Rennie's Landing, a bar located at 1214 Kincaid St. in Eugene. She told police that she followed the man around a corner where he assaulted and raped her.

The victim describes the suspect as a black male with light skin, wearing a white coat and jeans. Police report that he may be associated with a "nice," white car that is similar to a Lexus.

According to police, the victim is not a University of Oregon student.
