A couple is behind bars after the Polk County Interagency Narcotics team discovered almost 12 pounds of marijuana inside their Dallas home.
The narcotics team arrested Jonathan Aguinaga, 31, of Monmouth and Brandy Stutheit, 25, of Albany on Thursday for unlawful delivery, manufacturing and possession of marijuana. Both Stutheit and Aguinaga have bails set at $90,000 and are currently being lodged at the Polk County Jail.
The team later searched Aguinaga's property on Kings Valley Highway, where they seized an additional eight to 10 pounds of raw marijuana that was packaged for sale. They also came across 20 full size marijuana plants.
Aguinaga and Stutheit are both Oregon Medical Marijuana Patient cardholders and were both outside their limits for plants and raw usable marijuana.
The potential street value of the drugs is estimated around $23,000.
