Salem police arrest man accused of kidnapping and stabbing woman

SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

Salem police arrested a man accused of kidnapping a woman and stabbing her in the arm.

Officers said Randy Fleming talked the woman into getting into his van on Sunday.

As this is an ongoing investigation, authorities do not want Fleming's picture released to the public at this time. But, people might recognize Fleming's white Dodge Caravan from other alleged crimes.

The victim said Flemming tried to sexually assault her before she jumped out of his van while it was still moving.

Fleming was arrested and is facing several charges including kidnapping, assault and attempted rape.
