PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
Portland police say a woman apparently stabbed a man near a Starbucks in the Lloyd District.
It happened just after 3 a.m. Monday morning on Northeast Multnomah near Northeast Third.
Arriving officers found a man and woman nearby behind the Starbucks at Northeast Martin Luther King Boulevard near Hassalo Street.
Police said the stabbing happened in a stairwell of the Convention Center Plaza.
Officers said the man and woman know each other.
They were less than cooperative and appeared to be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, according to police.
Police also said they found evidence of illegal drug use.
Crews took the man to a hospital; he's expected to recover.
Officers took the woman to the Northeast precinct.
Domestic Violence Reduction detectives are investigating.
They had not released the names of either person as of Monday morning.
