VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -
A teenager is accused of breaking into a Vancouver apartment, attempting to pull a video game machine out of the wall and injuring the two people inside.
The 16-year-old was arrested early Saturday morning and made his first appearance in juvenile court Monday. He is charged with burglary and the prosecutor's office is considering assault charges.
The teen entered the apartment on St. John's Road, which belonged to people he did not know, according to a Clark County Sheriff's Office probable cause document.
Deputies confirmed the door was not locked.
Deputies said it was at 3:45 a.m. Saturday and the teen was only wearing his boxers as he turned on a TV and Playstation 3 in the apartment. Court documents said he attempted to pull the machine out of the wall.
Investigators said a woman sleeping in the apartment confronted the teen, who ignored her. A man then woke up and deputies said the teen told them he was their friend.
That's when deputies said the teen punched the man in the face.
The woman grabbed a baseball bat, but the teen is then accused of punching her in the face, according to deputies.
The teen is listed on the Skyview High School wrestling team's Facebook page.
Deputies found him hiding in a utility room at the apartments, according to the probable cause document. He was then arrested.
Deputies said the teen admitted smoking marijuana and eating hallucinogenic mushrooms.
The boy has a formal arraignment in juvenile court set for Nov. 13.
