Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who can help police find a man caught on camera robbing a Portland convenience store.

It happened at 12:17 a.m. on Oct. 19 at the Plaid Pantry at Northeast 16th and Broadway.

A clerk told officers the suspect walked into the store, flashed a handgun and demanded money.

The clerk handed over some cash and the suspect then left on foot, police said.

Officers, including a police K-9 unit, searched the neighborhood, but did not find anyone matching the robber's description.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, 5'11" tall, 175 pounds, with shoulder-length, stringy brown hair.

At the time of the crime, he was wearing a dark stocking cap, sunglasses, a multi-colored sweater, and black pants with the word "SEASIDE" written down the side of the left leg.

Anyone who can help identify the suspect is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 503-823-HELP (4357).
