PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -
The Portland Rose Festival has a new president.
Todd Johnston was officially voted in as president at the Annual Fall Board meeting Oct. 25.
Johnston is president and CEO of Selectron Technologies and started volunteering with the Rose Festival more then 20 years ago.
His first official duty was to announce the theme for next year's Rose Festival, which is "Portland's Party."
"The day of the Grand Floral Parade is the largest outdoor party in Oregon," Johnston said. "It just makes sense to call it what it is, Portland's Party. It is one big celebration for all ages to enjoy."
Johnston lives in Lake Oswego with his wife and two children.
