EUGENE, OR (KPTV) -
Eugene police are receiving an influx of reports related to exceptionally aggressive door-to-door sales teams.
Officers said the people claim to be selling cleaning products and push past homeowners answering their doors to enter the home.
The salespeople also badger the people with persistent questioning that deviates from a normal sales pitch for someone concentrating on selling cleaning products, according to police.
Eugene police are investigating any possible connection between these situations and recent crimes.
Anyone who has an interaction with these kinds of sales representatives are asked to call the non-emergency dispatch number to help investigators track the contacts and compare them to crime reports.
That number is 541-682-5111. Select "1" at each option to speak with a dispatcher.
Officers also said that if someone enters a home without being invited and remains inside after being told to leave, police will respond to it as a trespassing situation.
